This Trident Maple was purchased 3 Feb 2008 in this condition (I added the rock). This pohot taken when purchased. Approx. age is 4 years.

 In mid April ( photo taken 25 April 2008) the temperatures dropped significantly, I took the opportunity to prune quite heavily - taking out many of the smaller interior branches. After winter I intend to wire the 2 main branches slightly out to open up the folliage and broaden the shape.
